PERMANENT FUND DIVIDEND IN ALASKA
"The Alaska Dividend, properly called the Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), is the closest thing to a basic income guarantee that exists in the world today.  It is a small, yearly dividend, financed indirectly from oil revenues, paid by  the state government to every citizen who lives in Alaska - including all men, women, and children."

CANADIAN PROVINCE TRIALS BASIC INCOME

FINLAND BASIC INCOME

ITALY BASIC INCOME PILOT
"Filippo Nogarin, the mayor of the Italian coastal city of Livorno who launched an initiative to provide a guaranteed basic income to the city's 100 poorest families in June 2016, is poised to extend the program in the beginning of 2017. A member of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement (M5S), Nogarin was elected in 2014.

BARCELONA, SPAIN BASIC MINIMUM INCOME
"In October 2017, the city of Barcelona Spain, will launch a two-year experiment testing several variants of a guaranteed income and active policies to reduce poverty rates. The project has been called B-MINCOME in reference to the Canadian province of Manitoba's Mincome experiment, a guaranteed annual income trial conducted in the late 1970s.

INDIA'S BASIC INCOME GRANTS
"We have much more analysis to do, but as the conference showed the story is fairly clear. Before mentioning a few findings, note that contrary to some assertions, a majority did not prefer subsidies (covering rice, wheat, kerosene and sugar), and as a result of the experience of basic incomes more came to prefer cash to subsidies. Eleven results stand out."

PHILIPPINES CONDITIONAL CASH TRANSFER (4ps)
"The conditional cash transfer (CCT) program locally known as Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program, or 4Ps is a government program that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor in the Philippines. The program aims to break the cycle of poverty by keeping children aged 0-18 healthy and in school, so they can have a better future."

IRAN INTRODUCED A BASIC INCOME SCHEME
"Published by the economists Djavad Salehi-Isfahani and Mohammad H.Mostafavi-Dehjooei, the paper finds no evidence to support the idea that people receiving cash transfers take themselves out of the labor force. Some workers even expanded their hours, the report found.

UGANDA: TWO-YEAR BASIC INCOME PILOT
"Eight, a charitable organization based in Belgium, is preparing to run a basic income pilot in Uganda. The two-year pilot is set to launch in January 2017, and will form the basis for a documentary. It will involve the distribution of unconditional cash transfers to all residents of an undisclosed village of 50 households.

KENYA'S UNIVERSAL BASIC INCOME

"In conversations with her and other villagers, a few spending priorities become clear. Most of the UBI payments are spent on short-term consumable goods like food, school fees and medicine. At the same time, many recipients save at least part of the UBI for larger purchases. And in a few cases, local entrepreneurs have used UBI payments to invest in new or existing businesses."
